About Me

Hi! I’m Eric, and I’m the writer of Earth by Foot. I’m a spouse, father and a life-long explorer, adventurer, and photographer. Since a young age I was drawn to the outdoors, adventure and travel, and I’ve never stopped since.

I’ve spent a lifetime exploring the globe. I’ve had the opportunity to work in remote areas such as Yellowstone National Park, just outside Glacier National Park and Alaska. I’ve been on the summit of some of the tallest mountains, whitewater rafted on rivers around the globe, fished in different oceans and crossed the Tasman Sea on a ship.

A lifelong Traveler and Outdoorsman

In Yellowstone, I logged over 1,000 miles over two summers hiking throughout the Park. I’ve traveled to 15 countries and 4 continents, and counting. I have a great interest in exploring, fishing, hiking, spelunking, snorkeling and diving, experiencing different cultures, and anything adventurous.

I enjoy sharing my passion and insights into adventure travel with others. Whether on a river fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking mountains or exploring hidden gems, you’ll find me outdoors most of the time. My mission is to provide useful information on the places we visit and the things that we do with other like-minded individuals in the world.

Living boldly

I’m fairly private person. A private person with a blog you’re asking yourself? Yeah, right. But it’s true, I am private, but ironically like sharing adventures to share with others. A health scare several years ago, forced me to look a little differently at life. I’d always traveled, but not to the extent I do now.

I encourage anyone to reflect on their lives, and ask yourself if you’re living the life you want to live. It’s easy for me to say. I have a different perspective. But if I can inspire even one person to get off the couch and into the woods, sky, water or on any adventure, then my mission is accomplished.

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s go exploring together!
